We collect personal information from you, including: name, email address, address, age, billing or purchase information. Some of this is optional such as gender, phone number. Address may also be optional. This information is required by the organisations that use Hivepass if you create an account with them.
If the mandatory information above is not provided we can not provide our service to you
We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data").
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access the Service with a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We will not link this usage data to your personal profile so it will remain anonymous.
We may use and store information about your location if you give us permission to do so ("Location Data"). We use this data to provide features of our Service, to improve and customise our Service. You can enable or disable location services when you use our Service at any time by way of your device settings.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All data communication is encrypted over https. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Hivepass does not store or retain any of your credit card information. Payment services are provided via Stripe, who have been audited as a PCI Service Provider Level 1.
We keep your information safe by restricting access to the database to those with a valid operational need. This includes any Hivepass staff or contractors.
Any organisation you join on Hivepass will also have access to your member data so we suggest you also review their privacy policy. Your data will not be available to any organisation on Hivepass that you have not joined. If you leave an organisation on Hivepass your personal data will be removed from the organisations account however they will retain access to some transactional data such as payments etc. We can not guarantee that those organisations have not kept a copy of your data.
If you leave all organisations on the Hivepass platform all your personal data will be removed from Hivepass however we will retain transactional records with your unique identifier.
All data is stored on Google Cloud Platform servers which are physically located in the United States of America. The NZ Privacy Commission has stated that sending information to another organisation to hold or process on your behalf (as your agent), will not be treated as a disclosure under the new Privacy Act (see section 11). This includes, for example, when an agency is providing cloud storage services on behalf of the NZ based client. Privacy Act 2020 - Section 11
